Ronan Collins – MD

Mr. Ronan Collins completed his LLB (HONS) Irish Law in 2005, since then Mr. Collins been involved extensively across banking, finance and private wealth, working on a range of Structured Finance projects, Hedge Funds and Corporate Restructurings.

Mr. Collins works closely with private international firms as an Independent Non-Executive Director (INED) which have operations in Ireland and began his foray into healthcare in 2016 with the launch of Passage Healthcare Group.

At Aurora, he will lead the business to future growth lending to his experience in the international financial sector.

Andrew Turner CEO

Mr. Andrew Turner has been involved in the elder care industry since 1974 and has helped to guide and shape best-in-class global practice. In more than 40 years of gerontology and care, Mr. Turner has operated over 1600 different facilities.

With an acknowledged track record in creating successful high quality residential living opportunities around the world, his expertise in elder care and memory care is significant.

In 1989, Mr. Turner founded Sun Healthcare Group, operating in nine different countries with 600 acute, rehabilitation and long-term care facilities as well as related pharmacy and medical supply companies. Operating 400 long-term care facilities in the United States as COO of Hillhaven.

In 1986, he founded Horizon Healthcare, a company with 300 long-term care hospitals throughout the US.

Mr. Turner formerly served as Chairman of Actavis (now Allergan), and on the Board of Streamline Health Solutions. More recently he founded Trinity Rehabilitation Services in the United States.

At Aurora, he will bring his significant healthcare experience to the successful operations and growth of the business.

Sheila King – Chief Operations Officer

Sheila is a vastly experienced health industry executive with deep understanding of public and private health systems. With over 25 years of experience in health and social care organisations – Britain’s statutory, private and voluntary sectors including two of the largest care operators – Sheila is uniquely placed to provide leadership in Older People Health Care. She believes the role of quality healthcare is to support people to live independently for as long as possible by maximising the capacity of individual and community social support systems. Sheila is driven by a passion to deliver excellent care and treatment to all while maintaining the highest clinical, professional and ethical standards and delivering exceptional value to commissioners.

Deirdre Murphy – Financial Controller

Deirdre had a varied career from 1984 to present across many industries in the accounting and logistics management area, she completed a City and Guilds Accountancy course in and in 1990 commenced as a logistic and accounts manager for a haulage firm, she worked there until 2004 and then went onto a larger outfit to do the same until 2007 and eventually being head hunted for another haulage company to assist with logistic planning and accounts to grow the company, she left there in 2017 to join Passage Healthcare as the Financial Controller.

Deirdre brings with her a very empathetic and patient nature which affords her great success in the explaining of the finances to our residents and their families. This coupled with her understanding of accounting and logistics makes for a very efficient Financial Controller.

Rosario (Rosy) Baldicantos – Person In Charge – Sally Park

Rosario completed Bachelor of Science in Nursing  in Iligan Medical Centre College and passed the licensure board examination by the Professional Regulation Commission Board of Nursing in 1994.

She worked as a staff nurse and specialised in Medical Surgical Nursing.

She studied further in Paediatric pain management, Private duty nursing and completed a staff development program in critical care.

She arrived in Ireland in July 2000 through the Federation of Nursing Ireland and passed the Training  in The Mater Misericordiae Hospital for An Bord Altranais: and was a fully Registered General Nurse Whilst doing her training in The Mater she commenced working in Sally Park Nursing Home as a trainee staff nurse in July 2000 on the weekends. She became a full time staff nurse in September 2000 and was appointed as Head Nurse in 2002, following on from this she was appointed as the Person In Charge in 2005 and is still blazing the trail there.

She has completed many course’s to maintain enhance her skills including Management, Palliative Care conducted by all Ireland institute of hospice and palliative care, Evaluation of Dementia care practice leadership, continence care, managing people Fetac level 6, challenging behaviour, risk management, phlebotomy, auditing, safe guarding trainer.

She leads the team with a warm professional edge creating a Home from Home for all of our residents.

Niamh Brophy – Person in Charge – Lucan Lodge

Niamh commenced her career in 1997 working as a Healthcare Assistant on school holidays, she went on to build on this to work in Our Lady’s Hospice as a Healthcare Assistant in a care of the older person ward. During this time, she trained as a reflexologist and provided this service to the older residents under her care.

This led to her nurse training in 2007. She Trained in Trinity College and the Tallaght Mental Health Services. She completed a post graduate diploma in Dementia in Trinity  College in 2011. She used this to help set up a ‘Dementia Café’ where families and friends of residents came to chat in a safe space monthly. Her role was to help source speakers such as dieticians, psychiatrists, and other healthcare professionals to speak. She liaised with the Alzheimer’s Society of Ireland to provide written information packs for guests at the cafes. When it is safe to do so, she will start a dementia café in Lucan Lodge.

She completed the European Certificate in Palliative Care with Our Lady’s Hospice in 2018. This has enabled her to complete advanced care directives for our residents to ensure end of life needs of residents are appropriately planned for. She trained as a CPR instructor in 2019 and provides CPR training to nurses and HCAs in the company.

She completed a Leadership and management course with Harvest training in 2018 and was awarded a distinction.
